Dr. Chengdiao Fan holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from Stanford University and focuses on harnessing social computing to unleash human potential on a global scale.
Chengdiao earned her Ph.D. in Anthropology from Stanford University, with expertise in human behavior and human population studies, and her subsequent research interests have focused on human-computer interaction and social computing—specifically, how we use technology to positively impact human behavior and societies.
Her deep understanding of human societies, behaviors, and principles that have been used in previous research projects on productivity software, extended social communications, and online human relationships and interactions has informed her work with Pi Network. Through Pi Network, Chengdiao is applying the same knowledge and principles to blockchain and decentralization as a real-world tool to enable people to have more frequent and easy opportunities to collaborate and build utilities.
By improving human-computer interaction and envisioning future human social and economic life through the web, Chengdiao is building a Pi Network to mobilize individuals around the world to participate and be rewarded for their contributions, and create a comprehensive ecosystem for global citizens to unleash and seize their own agency, thus creating facilities and production for society and the world.
